Dr. Manal Hegazy engages in a high volume general surgery practice which includes a variety of procedures. Her specialties include the treatment of breast abnormalities, including benign and cancer procedures. She is an active member of the American Breast Society. Her surgical spectrum includes minimally invasive procedures including laparoscopic colons, gallbladders and hernias. She is a member of SAGES which is the Society of Minimally Invasive Surgeons. She is also involved in the treatment of trauma and emergent care of patients at the hospital. Dr. Hegazy graduated summa cum laude from St. Johns University Hospital. She received her medical degree at Buffalo Medical School and completed her residency at Sound Shore Medical School. She was also Chief Resident at Sound Shore from 2001-2002. Dr. Hegazy has been with the Practice since 2002 and became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2003.
