Charles LaRosa, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. LaRosa is a member of our group since 1994. He is a board certified General Surgeon who graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, where he served his surgical residency and a surgical research fellowship. He completed his Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and is board certified in Vascular Surgery. He is the author of more than twenty-five publications related to topics in general and vascular surgery and is highly trained in all the latest surgical techniques. He is particularly interested in the surgical treatment of carotid, aortic and lower extremity vascular disease. Dr. Larosa performs a variety of minimally invasive re-vascularization procedures using angiographic catheter-based therapies. He is the Medical Director of our accredited non-invasive vascular laboratory. Dr. LaRosa is the Chief of Vascular Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital and has developed a program in endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms. He is also a member of the medical board at that hospital and the Chairman of the Medical Board Liaison Committee. Dr. LaRosa is the Founding President of the Long Island Wound Healing Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, The American Professional Wound Care Association, and a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery. He is frequently invited to speak at local and national professional meetings on topics related to vascular disease and wound healing.
